Adding Bricks
How to add, configure, and arrange bricks in your lessons.
The Brick Catalog
When you click Add brick, the brick insertion sheet opens showing all available brick types organized by category:
| Category | Description |
|---|---|
| Content | Display bricks — text, headings, images, video, audio, code, etc. |
| Collections | Grouped content — carousels, galleries, tabs, accordions, timelines |
| Evaluations | Question types — single choice, multi-select, matching, fill-in-the-blank |
| Games | Casual learning games — memory, wordle, hangman, puzzles |
Adding a Brick
Click an insertion point (the "+" between bricks) or the Add brick button at the bottom.
Browse or search the brick catalog.
Click on a brick type to insert it at the chosen position.
Configure the brick using the panel that appears on the right.
Brick Configuration
Each brick has a configuration panel with settings specific to its type. Common settings include:
- Content — Rich text, images, or media for the brick
- Items — Individual elements (for collections, evaluations, and games)
- Properties — Type-specific settings (e.g., correct answers, animation settings)
- Style — Visual appearance overrides
Brick Actions
Right-click on a brick or use its action menu to:
- Duplicate — Create a copy of the brick below
- Delete — Remove the brick
- Save as template — Save the brick configuration for reuse
- Move up/down — Reorder without drag and drop
Tips
- Use keyboard shortcuts for faster editing
- Drag and drop bricks to reorder them quickly
- Insert bricks from your template library for common patterns
- Use AI generation to create bricks from text prompts (organization scope only)
